OMG II

Good Afternoon to all of the faithful followers of moi: This is a continuation of my blog on the cruise. Again it was a wonderful omg cruise. The new AquaDuck on the ship is something else. I was quite afraid of the unknown but we had not even been on the ride for a minute and I told Don we were going on again. lol Most of the passengers were off on the island Castaway Cay so we had the ride mostly to ourself. We rode it 6 times. It was so cool. Cannot wait til December to try it again.
Another neat feature of the cruise was the "District" It was where the bars were. There are four bars in this location. One is the sports bar called 687, another is Pink and it is pink and bubbly like pink champagne. There is one called "The Skyline" and in this bar the wall consists of murals that change to the skylines of different cities. It is NY, Chicago, Rio and I think Hong Kong. Really different. And finally the last one is Evolutions. It is where the caberet shows happen and dance parties. The ship all in all was wonderful and 4 days definitely was not enough. One thing I almost forgot was our friend Pierre who is the food and beverage manager on the ship sent us my guilty pleasure on the ship. Chocolate covered Strawberries and we had gotten a bottle of champagne. So we toasted leaving Castaway Cay with a glass of bubbly and the strawberries Yummmmmmmmmy Okay enough for now and you all knpow the drill

Royal Wedding

Good Morning to all of the faithful followers of moi: I have been watching the Royal Wedding on TV. It is amazing what technology has done. I watched his mother get married and following tradition I am watching it today. I am awaiting the first kiss so I will close this post and stay tuned for OMG II. Love to all and you know the drill. OMG

Good Afternoon to all of the faithful followers of moi: We are back from our 4 day cruise on the Disney Dream and all I can say is "OMG". It is strange but I did not think a cruise could be different but it was. The first day we got on board was overwhelming. The ship is bigger and the locations of things are all different but by the second day, it was the most wonderful experience. It was the fastest 4 days ever. We needed a 15 day cruise like the Panama Canal Cruise. LOL It was nice as we saw so many old friends from the other ships and some we had not seen in a long time as they were working in Germany during the building and outfitting the ship. The first night was Golden Mickeys in the theatre. We dress in gold to go along with the show. The cruise director, our friend Ray thought we were really something else. We ran into other cruise passengers who thought we looked wonderful. After that show, we had dinner in Remy's, the French restaurant. It was a wonderful once in a while thing to do. We needed to do it so we knew what it was. We had really neat table mates. It was a lovely couple from the "Villages". They were celebrating their 60th anniversary. They were really neat folks. The new ship jas so many innovations that are just too neat. We met a gentleman who was the assistant executive housekeeper, his name was Javier. He took us on a tour of the ship and we were especially taken with the kids areas. They have some really cool stuff for the kids. They have a floor that is like an ipad. You step on a square and it acts like a computer. Okay I am getting tired now Need a nap. All part of life of the "Rich and Shameless" Love to all and you know the drill.

Happy Easter To One and All

Happy Easter to all Of the faithful followers of moi: Well today is the big day and I am so excited. It is hard to believe after all of the cruises we have been on but I guess it is the new ship smell lol. I will be away from the computer for a few days but will make up for it when I get back. Okay love to all and you know the drill.

Tomorrow is the Big Day

Good Morning to all of the faithful followers of moi: In just about 24 hours, we will be embarking on our cruise. I feel like we have been waiting forever and now it is finally here. Looking forward to many, many things but the most is seeing folks we have not seen in the last few years as they have been shoreside working on the new ship. It is bitter sweet when I think of the folks on the Wonder who we won't see for a while but one needs to take the bitter with the sweet. I am not taking my computer on this cruise as I feel I will be busy checking everything out. I will be posting photos and a critique of this new ship. I am excited. Just have a few things to press and then it will be done. Okay enough for now. Happy Easter to All and you all know the drill. But for those who might not know or have forgotten. 2 Days til Dream Cruise

Good Morning and Happy Holidays to all in case I don't get back to blogging but I will try. Things are moving along nicely with getting ready for cruise. I have most packing for Don and mine is almost finished. I just need to cut Don's hair and do his mickeys. Life is good. Love to all and you know the drill

Cruise Update

Good Morning to all of the faithful followers of moi: It is 4 days til the cruise and it is all coming together nicely. I got beautified yeterday from head to toe. lol Today I am packing and I should be done with that today. I will cut Don's hair and put in his Mickeys tomorrow and then we will be ready. Okay need to find out my age and get this day started. Love to all and you know the drill.

Cruise Update

Good afternoon to all of the faithful followers of moi: Today I started packing for the cruise. Tomorrow Mike is coming tomorrow to do some prep work on the pool. I am getting a hair cut and nails done tomorrow. Okay enough for now and you all know the drill. Love to all. Oreo is guarding the suitcases. lol

Patio Update 2

Good afternoon to all of the faithful followers of moi: I have been getting prepared for next weeks cruise. I held the mail and both newspapers online. We will be finishing up some of the little stuff on the lanai this afternoon. I talked to Elaine Bargo this morning and things with Butch are progressing. He is still having chemo and surgery has been scheduled for May. She says he is doing better and eating and gaining some weight. If all who read this could just say a prayer for his speedy recovery. She said he is getting out to the barn and doing some things. Okay enough for now and you all know the drill. Love to all!!

Good Morning to all of the faithful followers of moi: Please don't hate me but it is a spectacular day here in Fla. We are having coffee on the lanai. Yesterday we went to the mall in Vero and I had a banner shopping experience. I bought three new dresses for the Dream Cruise and a new pair of shoes. Monday I will go to Bealls and look for a new bathing suit. We are going to do the Aqua Duck and one need to look good when one is sliding around the new ship. lol I am in the process of cleaning the lanai and Mike from the pool company is coming today to give us a price to replace the liner and fix a couple of leaks. Pretty soon my pool will be back in working order. Yeh!!! Life is good. Speaking of the pool guy, he is here. Got to go and check colors of pool liners. Love to all and you know the drill.

11 Days til Cruise

Good Morning to all of the faithful followers of moi: Today we are getting our air conditioner serviced for its yearly maintenance. It is in the mid 80's and time for air conditioning. Am also in the process of thinking about what to take on cruise. Love to all and you know the drill

12 Days til Dream Cruise

Good Afternoon to all of the faithful followers of moi: I have been very negligent in blogging as not much is happening still in Okeechobee. It is hard to believe that Don & Flo have left. The season went so fast. We are going on our cruise on the Dream in 12 days. I have not started packing yet but I am thinking about it though. lol Will try to do better with the blogging. Okay love to all and you know the drill.

The Snowbirds are Leaving

Good morning to all of the faithful followers of moi: I have not been too active in my blogs and I have no excuses. Not much is happening here. Florence and Don left today for the auto train. The season went so quickly but you all know the saying "Time Flies when you are having a good time." Will miss them but will see them in a couple of months when we go up for our summer trip. The snowbirds are leaving and we are going to Disney World Friday for lunch in Japan. Life is good and we are well. Seventeen (17) days til our Dream Cruise. Getting excited. Thought for the Day

Good Afternoon to all of the faithful followers of moi: I know I have not blogged all week and the only excuse I can offer is that not much is happening. A lot of the winter visitors are leaving and sadly that includes Don & Flo. It seems like this season has gone so fast. And I am sure us being gone most of the month of January did not help. Will miss playing 500 but will play when we come up for our summer visit.
I was talking to Brominator this afternoon about family members who I have not heard from since 1999 and I came up with a very timely understanding and said the following "My life is not lacking for them not being in my life but their life is lacking because I am not in it." Okay enough for now and as usual you all know the drill. Love to All.
