Endeavour Comes Home Today

The Space Shuttle Endeavour comes home today. Weather doesn't look great. Kind of cloudy and it is supposed to rain. Waiting for the Giant's football game. Just kind of taking it easy.

The Day After Turkey Day

Next year I am getting another whole bird. There is just something wrong not having a whole bird. My dinner was ok but not up to my usual standards. Oh well you can't cry over spilled turkey. lol Quiet day!! Just relaxing. More later (Post a cute pic of OREO on her blog.)

Happy Thanksgiving

Well it is finally turkey day. The pies are in the oven. I am making a second pot of coffee with breakfast. Trying hard not to get things done to early. Miss Princess just wanted to go out and check out the neighborhood. We are experiencing some more chilly weather. Saw that it looks like a nice day in NY for the parade. Will watch some on tv. Always wanted to see it in person. Maybe some day!!! Well Happy Thanksgiving to all. I love you all.

Tuesday

It was another beautiful day in paradise. The weather is warming up nicely but I understand there will be another cold spell. It was a quiet day. Went to the gym and came home to putter. Got to finish up my holiday shopping for Thanksgiving dinner. More tomorrow

Lunch At Clewiston

We went to Clewiston to meet Robbie and Elaine for lunch and Goodwilling. We also got to see Kenny and Christine (Elaine's brother and sister-in-law) from Ohio. Nice visit. Robbie and Elaine may go on cruise with us. Bought a couple of things that I listed on E-Bay. How fun!!

Well got to do what I didn't do today now. Love to all who read about who has it better than me!!!

Sunny Sunday

It may be cooler than I like but the weather sure is pretty. Quiet day in Chobee. Multiple football games to watch. Going to Wally World for a few things. Meeting Robbie and Elaine tomorrow in Clewiston. Will do Goodwill and lunch. Love to all who follow my ramblings.

It is still nippy here. We are getting our driveway sealed today. It is good for the people doing the job. Did not get sick from my flu shot. That's a good thing. Going to get on treadmill today as we can't go to the gym. Hope for warmer weather and maybe I will feel like doing something. For those who read this, it will get more exciting when weather gets warmer. lol

Still Frozen

Hi All It is still cold here and is expected to be until the end of the week. Got my flu shot today. Not able to do much in the cold though. Wrote a blog for Oreo. It is called Our Princess Oreo. More later

It is still colder than I like down here. Sorry for all those family and pals who follow my babbling but I didn't thaw out until this morning. Looks loke the week is going to be coooool.

It is cold here. I am finally thawed out enough to type. LOL I am watching the Giant's Game. Go Giants!!! I found a laptop case to replace the one Teri sent me.
It is pretty funky. Will post pic when it comes. I baked a cherry pie (I am so so so domestic) lol Not doing much today so blog is blah. More when the frozen tundra goes away.

I Spelled Endeavour wrong

I am sorry I spelled the shuttle's name last night. The correct spelling is ENDEAVOUR>
It was still AWESOME> I just have just returned from shopping at Wally World. YOU CAN SAVE A LOT OF MONEY SHOPPING THERE (You just need a lot of patience) Of course it is pretty nuts shopping on Saturday at noon. Oh well, it is over now!!! Time for a well deserved BUD LIGHT LIME. LOL

We just watched the shuttle go up from our back yard. It is so cool to see how the sky brightens and then you see it. It is awesome......

Another Lovely Day in Paradise

I know I sound like a broken record but it was another beautiful day in paradise. We went down to Lakeview Park and helped Joe put up his satellite dish. Talked to Flo, she was in Virginia and hoped to be back in Pa. tonight (unless they hit bad weather). We are watching the astronauts getting ready for the launch. We can see it from our back yard. It is really a spectacular sight. With the NASA channel, you feel like you are right there in the capsule. This is quite an age we live in!!! It should be nice with the moon almost full and the launch. Can't wait til 7:55 PM. More tomorrow!!

Warm & Sunny Thursday

It is a beautiful warm and sunny day here in Okeechobee. Don and Flo left this morning, hope they have a safe trip and stay warm. Best wishes to Ed, hope he feels better. Will miss them till they return.

Writing this blog in the Giants colors as I watched a repeat of Sunday's game last night. Go Giants!!!!!

Ordered a couple of christmas presents. YEH! Well time to return a plant I have been babysitting over the summer to Joe & Barb down at Lakeview Park. Okeedokee from Okeechobee 1 4 3!!!

Hump Day

It is Wednesday and a fact I had forgotten since I have been retired is that it is "Hump Day". I saw it on "Who wants to be a Millionaire" Well we both feel much better today. It is cloudy and looks like rain. Got some errands to run. Grammy Flo and Birddog are leaving for their holidays in the cold gray north. We will miss geocaching with them until January. Then it will be gang busters.

Robbie and Elaine are coming to Florida for a visit. We will try and make contact and have lunch. Still waiting for the New Years Disney Cruise!! Got to go and get showered and ready for the day.

Update from Chobee

Feeling better. Headache is almost gone. Went to get my yearly mammogram {How Fun} and a Bone Density test. It's pretty inconvenient getting older. I think I will stop growing up and get younger from here on. lol Talked to Teri and ordered some books for Ammanda. She deserved a little gift for doing so well at the Dome in Syracuse in her COLOR GUARD. She will be doing WINTER GUARD. She (Ammanda) brought her Spanish grade up. Well enough for now. Good Morning To All who read my ramblings: Did not blog yesterday as I was under the weather. Don't really know what it was but I had a headache and felt icky. Still have the headache today, Kind of sinusy. Am going to take it easy today. More later.

Thursday Pole Day

It is a really pretty day in Chobee. Had some excitement. They replaced an electrical pole in the side yard. Pretty interesting. Went to the gym and exercised. We are going to Flo's for Sauerkraut (sp)

Hapless History

I know that I should think highly of what occurred in yesterday's election but I do not feel at all good about it. I have seen many historic events happen in my lifetime and usually they are exciting and amazing but this one I don't know about it. But life goes on and its only 4 years. lol For all who read my ramblings, thanks for understanding. Well time for a walk on the dike and listening to my ipod and getting beyond yesterday.

Maybe it is that the Giants won the Super Bowl and I wanted Sarah to be our next VP. Maybe in 12 ,she'll be a part of history I can be happy about. Who knows!!!

Election Day 08

Well we took advantage of early voting. Now it is just wait and see who wins. The weather is gray and cloudy. Don and Flo came over to do laundry and play cards. We are going down there for spaghetti. Will await the results of election. Go Sarah!!! Okeedokee from Okeechobee.

Monday in Chobee

Did not blog yesterday for some unknown reason. We went to the lake and started our walking again. We walked a mile. Then we played 500 with Don and Flo. When we went home we watched the Giants whomp Dallas YEH Today we joined the gym again and exercised. Got to stay on the right path. The girls from Flo's park and I are going to the movies tonight to see a chick flick. Night in Rodanthe. More later

November 1st

It is a funny day here. For the most part, the day has been cloudy and gray. It rained for a little while but not freezing like some areas so I guess I don't have much to complain about. We didn't do much today but that's ok. Nothing to tell so will go take a nap. Need to take lessons from Miss Oreo!!!!
