Good Afternoon to one and all: This morning has been spent taking my bed down and giving the old mattress and box springs to our neighbor Jacob. After my soaps are over I am going to move the remaining furniture around and vacuuming. The new mattress comes Wednesday. Will post photos later. Love to all

Puttering Sunday

Hi to all my readers: It's been a quiet puttering day for me. Did laundry and vacuumed the patio. Tomorrow we are taking the bed down and Don is welding the casters so I can move it around as I love to move furniture around. lol We are getting in the pool now and doing our walking. Saturday in Chobee

Good Afternoon to all the faithful: We had a really nice day at Disney yesterday. We did select rides at 3 parks. It was not very crowded and not as warm as it had been. Jacob had a good time. We rode Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom, Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, and Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain at Magic Kingdom. Jacob rode them as well as the Rocking Roller Coaster. We don't do that one as it shakes you up too much. lol. Today I am putzing around. Put up new drapes in the guest room and changed the bedspread and pillow shams. Did that last night as we waited for the Space Shuttle launch. We watched it go up again from the back yard. It boggles my mind that it has been going up for 25 years. Of course, it doesn't take much to boggle my mind. lmao

Well it was a battle but it is over. My fence is finished and to celebrate we are going to "DISNEY WORLD" tomorrow with our neighbor

Back from Celebrating in Celebration

Happy Thursday to all: We had a lovely day yesterday and caught up with our friends. We went to a place called the "The Wine Room" in Celebration and met the owner. The neat thing is that he is Pierce Brosnan's stunt double. He want to hang from a helicoptor at 1000 feet and go the length of Florida for charity and to boost his stunt career. Talk about EXTREME. Better him than me. I keep my feet on the ground. lol Today I am going to finish my fence if it kills me. Not really. I have 15 feet to go. That's my plan and I'm sticking to it. lmao Brominator, it was rainy so I didn't get too many pics but got a couple. Love to all

Celebration

And a very good morning to all: Today we are going to Celebration to meet Jim and Tracey for drinks. I love going to Celebration as it is one of my most favorite Kool and the Gang songs. I know I am crazy and it is a tough job but somebody has to do it. LOL Need to figure out what "TWITTERING'' IS? It seems to be the new thing. Think we need to catch up with technology. lol Okay need to tweet myself into the kitchen and make breakfast.

Good Morning to all: Thanks to sloppy fingers, I deleted my first blog which was a gem and I am now trying to recreate it. I know it won't be as good but here it goes anyway. School starts here today and we are sitting on the lanai watching the school buses go by and watching "CASH CAB". I know you are all wondering what I did yesterday, so here it is. I DID IT ALL> LOL Could not stop myself so I worked on the fence, twice, cooked stuffed peppers and had a generally wonderful afternoon. Today is another story. Not quite sure what I will do but stay tuned tomorrow for updates on me. Love to all.

To Do or Not to Do

Good Morning, World: I am sitting here on the lanai pondering over what to do today. Don't know why but it is so hard to do nothing. My mind is always on the search for projects, be they big or be they little. I can't just say, "Think I'll curl up with my book and read." No, I have to say what room can I tear apart and put back together or what flower bed can I weed. I guess it is the fact that the sun always shines and gives me inspiration. OMG,I sound like a self help guru. OH WELL, LIFE IS GOOD AND I CAN DO WHATEVER I WANT. SO THERE!!! LOL Okay, enough soul searching. Time to make the most important meal of the day. Yesterday was quite a day!!

Good Morning to all: Did not make it yesterday as I was off stimulating the economy. lol We went to Vero Beach. First we went to Rooms to Go and looked at the tempurpedic mattresses. Picked out the Deluxe model and bought it. It wil be delivered on September 2 as they deliver on Wednesday to Okeechobee and we have a plan to meet Jim and Tracy for a drink next week Wednesday in Celebration. After stimulating the economy at Rooms to Go, we went to the mall and had lunch. After lunch, we went to the movie. Speaking of stimuating the economy, boy is it culture shock going to a real movie theater. The movie "Inglourious Basterds" was really very good. It had violence but it was necessary to the context of the movie. Then I went in to Penney's and did a little shopping. I did my part!!! lmao Today, I think I will work on the fences as it feels nice out right now. A little cooler and not as humid. Okay enought for now. Love to all

BUSY BUSY BUSY

Hi to all: Had a busy day today. Finished cleaning and then went grocery shopping. Had to buy the ingredients to bake my Amish Friendship Bread that Ari brought for me over the weekend. I just finished baking it. I made it the Chocolate variety. Going to give one to Mona and Joe and one to Jacob. Will keep one for us. I did not make sample bags as I did not want to burden anyone with this and did not want to make more for us as we are watching our p's and q's. ELEM!!! Going to Vero tomorrow as I told you all yesterday. Moved the living room furniture around to make it a little different in the house. It has not rained in the past few days even though it clouds up. Okay time for a much deserved break. Got Don to get a new phone today. He got a blackberry curve. It has internet, tv, and also makes calls lol Love to all

Caching Wednesday

Good Afternoon to all: We decided to go caching this morning. We went to Sebring and around Lake Istokpoga. We found 8 caches. Went to lunch at the Sebring Diner. We were supposed to meet up with Jim and Tracy in Celebration but Jim had a meeting that was going to run late so we rescheduled for next week. We are going to Vero Beach on Friday to see "Inglorious Bastards", have lunch at TGIF, check out a tempurpedic mattress and do some shopping at Penney's. LOL Nothing like being retired!!! Got to go and uncork the wine, it is almost cocktail hour. lmao love you all.

Good Morning Donna, yes it is D's reunion picnic. They had the reunion last year but have decided to do a picnic every year in between the big one at the Genetti Hotel. Not exactly sure when we are leaving as Mr. has jury duty on the 14 of September. Hey have you guys signed up for the 1/2 Marathon ? We will make room reservations as soon as they open the dates up. Good afternoon to all who find my stuff interesting. Trying to make it light and fluffy for you brother of mine. Sorry I mised yesterday but the day was gone before I knew it. Ari and Jason left a few minutes ago. We had a nice visit. Jason is leaving tomorrow for Ohio as his parents are moving into a new house. Better him than me with moving. UCK!! We showed them about geo-caching and they are going to start doing it also. Took them to a few that we found around our house to show them the different types they might find. Jason has a new phone that has apps and one is a geo-cache one. Looks like they are all set. To anyone who hear about doom and gloom from the media:

The weather here is fine. No threat of hurricane. It is slow news days so they like to be scary. lol Florence, we went down to the Lakeside Estate and all is well. The Guests have Arrived!!

Good Morning to All: Jason and Ari are here. It was nice to catch up with them. They forgot their tickets so they have to make a trip back to Orlando and pick them up. It feels like Saturday to me and I don't know why. I think I am going to weed my front flower beds today. Donna, I will send you the recipe as the soup was good. It needs a little modification though. It was a touch too hot. A few less chipotles!! lol I am thinking the next time I might add corn. We'll see. Okay enough for now. Love You All

Ol' Blue Eyes Is Back!!!

Good Afternoon to all: Went to the Eye Doctor today and all is well. Ordered my blue contacts for the next year. Jason and Ari are coming for their annual Dave Matthews Band concerts. For Joy !For Joy! Still working on my fence project. Boy those vines are really intertwined. I shall overcome them though. We are trying a new soup recipe today. Mexican Chicken Lime Soup. What to Do?

And a very very good morning to all my pals: It is so nice to be home even though being on cruises is fun too. We are going to work on the fence for a while this am. Then I will jump on the treadmill and get back to my ELEM program. Next project is my 2 flower beds in the front of house. Need to trim back the bushes and weed them. The Caladium Festival is in a few weeks and I want to get some more to plant. Going to eye doctor tomorrow for annual contact exam. Need to order some more as I am out and need to get my sapphire ones. I get so many compliments on my blue eyes with brown in them. Okay enough frivolity for now. Need to go make breakfast and watch "Cash Cab" Love to all

We drove out to Pat's Lakeside Restaurant and it was empty. NO MORE OKEEBURGER!!! That has been a main stay in Okeechobee ever since we got here. Wow I had no idea it was going away. More tomorrow

Hi to all my pals all over the world: LOL Just returned from my favorite activity. GROCERY SHOPPING I wait until I am out of most everything before I go. I did not write a list so I am sure that I forgot something. oh well it happens!!! Worked for a while on the fence. Cleaning off the stuff that is intertwined. Really too hot for that kind of work but managed to get an hours worth of work done. Talked to Flo this am, glad she is doing fine after her test. DW, hope all went well with your doctor appointment. We are going to Pat's Lakeside for an Okeeburger tonight as I don't feel like cooking. It is clouding up here and it will probably rain. Well wanted to touch base with you all. Love to all

Quiet Day

Hi to everyone who follows my ramblings: Hi to Florence, hope your test went well. I am thinking about you. Getting stuff unpacked and washed and re-hung up. Got back on the treadmill again today. Need to get back in the swing now that we are home for a while. I still cannot get the Nike+ to download the way it used to. It has all been different since they updated the site. Every time I go to site, it marks me as private and I don't know why? and some of my workouts don't download and show up. I took her off my blog as I got disgusted. Well I will see what happens. It has been a quiet day and it has rained off and on several times. More tomorrow. Love to all

Good Afternoon to my fans: After a short night's sleep we got up and went to early breakfast and were off the ship by 7:40am. We got home at around 10 am. Am doing some wash and generally relaxing. We had a really nice cruise. Will blog more tomorrow. Love to all

The Party's Over

Hi to All: Well it is the last night of the cruise. Boy do 3 day cruises go quickly. We had a really nice time and got to see many old friends and make many new friends. We had dinner tonight at Palo's. I love that place. Got to see Zoran and Oliver. It is great. Went to the Til We Meet Aagin party and talked to Kamilla Combs. She has the most beautiful voice. I hope she goes far. Well have to go to bed now as breakfast is at 6:45 AM Will be home tomorrow and will blog more. Hope Teri and Beth, hope you both had very happy birthdays. Love to all

Day One on the Wonder

Good morning to my pals: We had a wonderful first day on the cruise. Captain John is the captain and Peter is cruise director. We made our reservations for Palo's for Saturday night. Many of our friends are on board. We are at a table for 6 and are sitting with some really nice people. They are also cast members. We felt like celebrities as people kept coming by and telling us how nice it was that we were back on board. After 19 cruises and with 5 this year we know alot of people. Tonight is Pirate Night. Will post more tomorrow. Today is also our Rasul at the spa. Our friend Natalie from the spa is on board. As usual I must go now and get ready for breakfast( only this time someone cooks for me) yeh Who cares that we are in NASSAU!!! lol More tomorrow Love to all

C Day

And a very good morning to all: Just read Donna's blog and Katie is doing better. Keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Well it is "C" Day (cruise). We are taking it easy as we don't want to arrive at the terminal too early. We tend to get excited and leave and then we are sorry as we have to wait in many lines. We are taking our computer (well mine anyway) so I can blog and keep in touch with the world. Did Mr. S's Mickey's yesterday. They did not have the same stencil sponges at Wally World so I got some smaller ones. They are smaller but they really look cool. I do nice work if I do say so myself. It is nice to still get excited about cruising. That is one reason why I did not kick and scream so much at going on the 5th cruise of 2009. There are people who wake up and don't know who they are and those who can't do anything and are infirmed, we are both blessed with good health and the ability and where with all to do it, so guess what? IT IS A DIRTY JOB BUT SOMEONE HAS TO DO IT. LOL Teri, hope you have a very happy birthday. Will send you a message tomorrow on the day. Florence, our thoughts are with you. Will call you Monday after your test. Getting ready for it is worse than the actual test. Okay time for breakfast and left over packing. There is a MOJITO with my name on it tonight. Tuesday Afternoon

Good Afternoon to all my faithful followers: Had a few errands to run this am and got side tracked so I am now blogging. We got our documents for the cruise today. YEH!! Just need to put stuff in the suitcase. We have a wonderful lady who has been our financial consultant since we came to Okeechobee. She has a daughter who was just a toddler when we got here. The other day, we stopped in the Edward Jones office and saw a pamphlet on the desk. The little girl is now a beautiful young lady. She is Miss Okeechobee 2009 and she is entering the Miss Florida Teen USA pageant. Her mother is making her work to earn her donations for the entry. It is a good experience for the young lady. We made a donation and Alex came over and picked it up. She is really a sweet young lady. Hope she does well. We will watch it in October. Getting my hair cut tomorrow and Don is too. Then I will do his Mickey's. More tomorrow love to all

Good Morning: First I have to apologize for my error of yesterday. In the title, it should have been we're and not were. Twenty lashes with a wet noodle for me. lol Well today I spring into action for getting packed for the cruise. We were laughing this morning as it seems we only watch Disney movies on the ship. Good Afternoon All: Having been home a couple of weeks now, we need a break away. So guess if you can guess where we are going. If you said Disney World, you are close but no its not that. Guess again!!! If you can't guess ,I'll tell you. Thursday, we are going on a three day DISNEY Cruise. We need a Rasul. I know we lead a wild and wacky life. Mr. S said it can be a casual cruise. No Tuxedo. What kind of cruise would a tuxedo-less cruise be? We'll see. Maybe I'll wear the stuff I took on last cruise and did not wear. lol Stay tuned for more frivolity because who has it better than me!!!!

Cloudy Saturday

And a very good afternoon to all my pals: Sorry I took so long to blog but had to do my favorite job. I had to grocery shop. When I run out of turkey bacon, it is PUBLIX time. Went to the fruit stand for watermelon and tomatoes. Made our reservations for the Williams Arizona train trip to the Grand Canyon for October. We will take the train ride on my birthday. We are staying two nights at the train depot hotel. They had a nice package deal. I am looking forward to this trip because the last time I went out west, we won the lottery. I could deal with that again. Maybe we stop at the Ball of Twine again. Enough heart stopping activity for one day. Read me again tomorrow for another chapter in the wonderful life I call mine. lol
