Happy New Year

Hi All This is just the first blog of my new years wishes for everyone. Yesterday afternoon we went to Don & Flo's for meatloaf. It was made with venison and pork. It was delish. After dinner we played a MARATHON game of 500. It was fun!!! But even I was glad when the last game was over. It took 15 hands to complete.

This morning I tinkered a bit and we discovered there was a cache on the dike where we stop on our walks. So we decided to check it out. We had no idea that one was there. We went down to Flo and Don's and took our walk and found our cache. After we stopped back at Flo's and chatted for a bit. They are coming over later for nibbles and a New Year's Toast.

Quick Good Morning

I am in "Tinker-Mode" today. Made a home for my new blender and can't wait to make some kickin margaritas. Going on some errands and if I don't get back today I will post my Happy New Year wishes tomorrow. Am really enjoying everyone who blogs blogs. I guess that is right!!! Love to All

Happy Monday. Went out and did some errands and my favorite job of grocery shopping. Needed everything. Well it is done now. Now I am de-christmasing the house. Also turning my junk room into a yoga room. Bought a yoga dvd and a yoga mat. Now I have to slowly turn myself into a pretzel. lol Well back to work more later

On the Road Again

We are back on 95 but it is 3 lane and not so bad today. Lots of traffic but more lanes for them to go in, For my memory we stayed at exit 49 in Darien Georgia and ate at Smokey Joe's Barbeque. We are 7 miles from FLA. YEH! Miss Oreo will be glad we are home I am sure. She will be joining us at the hip for a few days until she gets comfortable with us being home. What a poor girl. Too Much Traffic on 95

We are in a Quality Inn in Darien Georgia. The traffic was terrific. BUMPER TO BUMPER MILES AFTER MILE> We got disgusted and got off and followed parallel back roads. Saw some cool old houses and neighborhoods. Got to go across a bridge I have seen before from 95 but never knew where it was. I love bridges until I am on them(Especially the Brooklyn Bridge) Tomorrow we aren't getting on the beast of 95 but following 17.
I am blogging and eating gourmet truffles. Thanks, I will have to treadmill for hours. Thanks to every one who blogs again as I really enjoyed reading about your new computer and Mike finding some caches.
I already miss the critters especially SHADOW!!!

Heading South

Good Morning We are in the truck and heading for home from our wonderful christmas holiday. We had a wonderful time at Mike and MaryBeth's house. They have the best animals. Our intention is to drive all the way through because there is something wrong with sleeping in a hotel when you are in your own state. We planned a family cruise for March when Donna has her spring break. Also we are making plans for the 2010 1/2 Marathon at Disney. Got to bet busy training. Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and hope all my pals and family have a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Christmas Caching

We went out for a day of caching today. No After Christmas Shopping. Oh Well!! We did 7 caches. YEH Went to a great one with dinosaurs. More later

The Day After Xmas

It is the day after christmas. We are having coffee and contemplating the day. I think we are going to go shopping to some after xmas sales. It has been a lovely holiday season. Probably going to leave tomorrow and make it home for the Giants Football game. More later

Xmas Afternoon

We watched "Christmas Story" on TBS. When everyone got showered and dressed we went out to a couple of caches. It was a beautiful day for a hike but no luck finding the prize. Rick, MaryBeth, Mike and Don tried to find another, while we went back home and put finishing touches on the dinner.

Merry Chrstmas Again

It is Christmas eve and all through the house are sights and sounds of the holidays. Cookies are just out of the oven and the sounds of christmas music is playing. All is well with the world. Merry Christmas One And All

It is Christmas Eve and all across this world people are hustle bustling to get done all their christmas cheer. Here in Bahama, NC, Donna is in the kitchen getting the lasagna ready for our christmas eve feast. We went out today and did a few stores. Had a few things left to do. We (the girls) left the boys home working on Mike's Big Screen. He was mounting it over the fireplace and he needed some men to help him drill through his concrete wall. It turned out very nice. Donna just opened up christmas chocalates and it is really valentine's day candy. OOOOOOOOOPS. Near Beth's house there are some zebras. We are having a very nice holiday so far.

Well I want to wish all who follow this a very Merry Christmas and I will be blogging more of the festivities from here. Love to all my pals.

More from Bahama NC

As Donna wrote in her blog, it is nice to have a family xmas. It would be nice to have everyone in the family to be together but sometimes things happen. We are watching Enchanted. We went out and did a couple of geocaches before dinner. Rick grilled shrimp and scallops and we had it with alfredo sauce over angel hair pasta. It was goooooood. Mike is a good italian boy and we are having lasagna for xmas eve. Stay tuned for more christmas posts. Love to all.

On the Road Again

Good Afternoon to all my followers: We are finally on the road heading for Mike and Marybeth's house in Bahama, NC. I was a little slow getting myself going this morning. Going away always sounds like such fun until the day we leave. I am always sure that I have forgotten something important and you'd think we were going to another planet. Don and I exchanged our christmas gifts yesterday. I got him a new gps for geocaching and he got me a stainless steel cuisinart blender super high powered. Gonna make frozen margaritas for New Years. Poor Oreo, she is always so beside herself when we leave. Getting on I-95N right now. It is 57 degrees out and I am sure that as we go it will only get colder. Good thing I have a lot of love in my heart. It helps keep me warm.

Where does the time go?

Every day I say I have to blog today and then I go off on a tangent and before I know it, it is 2 days later. For all my faithful readers, I am sorry. I have been getting ready for our trip to NC. All the orders are in and we will be leaving Monday am. I will blog from the road I promise. I hear that the weather is not so pleasant in the north. Everyone please stay healthy and happy and above all safe. More christmas wishes later in the week.

Sorry It's So Late

We went to Orlando today to go to Disney and drop off a little gift for the cast members where Don works at Animal Kingdom at the "Festival of the Lion King". We stayed and saw the show again and it always affects me the same way. The same thing happens at the show on the final night of the Disney cruise "Disney Dreams" I love that show especially when they sing the Circle of Life. It makes me cry. We went over to Epcot and did a couple of attractions. We were going to stay for Illuminations but we were tired and it would have made a late night drive home. One of Katie's presents came today and hopefully the other will come tomorrow. With that, we can leave Monday instead of Tuesday. Will be blogging along the way on the trip so no one will have to miss a moment of my ramblings. I know all who follow this blog are just sooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. Busy Tuesday

Had a busy day today. We went to Vero Beach to the mall to buy a few things for the trip to NC. Don did some shopping for me for xmas. Bought a new pair of sneakers to start getting ready for next years marathon. Looks like we might do it again. Don, it looks like strawberries will be starting. You better hurry back. More later

OOOOOOOOOPS

Sorry fans: No I am not sick but negligent in my postings. I don't have much of an excuse and I can't explain it. I tinkered all weekend. We went to the Christmas Parade in town Saturday night at 6 P.M. It is really nice and it brings everyone out. 1/3 of the people are watching the parade, 1/3 are in the parade and 1/3 are riding horses in it. I am posting some pics but they are not really good. It is hard at night.

Sunday I tinkered and then watched the Giant football game. I can't stand the pressure of that team. Poor Harpo Manning!!! When he plays good he's ELI. When he plays crappy he's Harpo!!! Digging out my sweaters and cold weather clothes for our Christmas in NC. Got to go and get some wrapping paper today to wrap the presents to put around my Christmas Palm Tree. Well have to finish my yoghurt. Love to all.

Full Moon

It is cool tonight but what else is new. Got some decorations up and decided to use my new lighted palm tree as a christmas tree. See pics It is a full moon tonight and it is supposed to be the largest one in many years. It is really pretty. Don't have the address of Mike and Marybeth yet so don't really know where in NC. Talked to Rick, he has some geocaches for us to do. Will probably need my long underwear. HA HA More tomorrow Love to all

Decorating for Xmas

Don got the xmas things out of the crawl space and I am starting to put a few lights up and the tree. We are going to Mike and Marybeth's I think at least that is the plan. Need to put up a few things for the season. It is very grey and cloudy and it is raining hard. Going to be colder tomorrow. yuckyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Princess Oreo is on my lap. She doesn't like rainy days either.

Twilight

Finally got to see my movie. It was pretty good. It followed the book fairly close. We went this afternoon instead of Monday nught. We didn't want to miss Big Bang Theory. It has been really nice here for the last couple of days. It is why we live in FLA. We are supposed to get another cold snap though starting tomorrow. We went down to the lakeside estate this afternoon and took a walk. Well my oven just beeped so I assume dinner is almost ready. More tomorrow.

Life Is Good

Good Morning All: Well Pittsburgh pulled it out. YEH! The Giants may have lost but they clinched thieir division. Put together my second palm tree for the patio. Going to try to go to the movie again at $1.00 night. Talked to Flo, glad that she didn't freeze. Don, I made oatmeal but it still isn't as good as yours. Can't wait for you guys to come back and play cards and dominoes. For all my fans, please stay warm and safe.

Crappy Football Day

Well the Giants lost and it looks like Dallas is going to beat the Steelers. What a badddddd day for football. It was cool out today but not as bad as up north. Don't like temps in the teens.
Gotta watch the end of the game. The Steelers just got a touch down. MAYBE!!! More later.

New Place to Walk

It is a really pretty day here today. We went to a new place to walk. We went across from Eckerd Developmental School. It is the Taylor Creek Stormwater Treatment Area. It is about three miles around. We walked 2.1 miles. It is filled with wildlife. We saw birds and 3 deer. Along the bank, and in the water we saw 6 gators. I was a little scared because they were close. Probably 10 feet away from path. They didn't seem too concerned about us. Could kick my self for not bringing camera. Next time, I hope. I am multi tasking right now. I am making stuffed pepper and blogging. God am I good!!!

Big Day in Chobee

It is nicer here today than yesterday. Probably 70 ish Went to the movie yesterday and what a difference a dollar day makes. We wanted to see or I wanted to see Twilight and we were the only two there for it. (they need 4 to show movie)
Two other people came who wanted to see "BOLT". We went with them and saw Bolt. What a wonderful little town. Got to go grocery shopping. My most favorite job. Got to go. Bye to all.

It is cold today again. The governor is going to hear from me soon! Bright and sunny but chilly. Going to the movies this afternoon. It should be less crowded than dollar monday. Hopefully. Post office just delivered my first lighted palm tree for the patio that I ordered from Bealls. Hopefully the second one will come tomorrow. Kitty just came in from outside, she doesn't like the cold any more than I do. I think we are going to Mike and Marybeth's in Carolina for Xmas (Donna's daughter and son-in-law) We booked a cruise for January 24, 2009. Rick and Donna are coming too. Can't wait for Don & Flo to get back and we can resume our card playing. Going through my closet to get some outfits ready for the cruise and what doesn't fit is ebay bound.

Tuesday in Chobee

Good Morning all who read this: I am about ready to call the governor about this cold weather. We have another cold front sitting on top of sunny Florida causing lower temps than I personally like. Sold some things on E-Bay and am going to PO and mail off the packages. We need a new power supply for the tv by the treadmill and we are going to check with Emmett at the TV store. And last but not least I have to go grocery shopping. Oh what fun!!! Well have to get busy. More later

One Dollar Movie Night

It is dollar night at the movie theatre and I have never seen the parking lot so full. There was not a parking spot to be had all around the place. Amazing. We ended up going to Joey's for dinner. I had a spinach calzone and Don had stuffed shells. ANYTHING BUT TURKEY. LOL
Sold the 2 sweaters for OHIO STATE on EBAY. Wish I could find items like that every week.
