Beth,Sorry that I forgot to mention you. I am so glad that you are there to be with your Mom and provide each other comfort. My thoughts and prayers go out to Donna and the grandchildren who are also affected by this illness. Again thanks for opening up your home and heart for a wonderful holiday. BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR, Good Morning All: It is cold here. I know I am sure that there are much colder places but from my frame of reference it is COLD. I am going to bundle myself up and go to the Grocery store and get the fixins for Chicken Soup. That and my alka-seltzer plus should do the trick. Also we are not going anywhere for a few days so I can lay low. We went up to St. Cloud and saw Tom, Edie, Chloe and Victor. They are heading back early as Chloe is coughing and is going to doctors. They took us to lunch. It was wonderful to spend time with them. We enjoyed the trip to the Mighty 8th with them. Victor got a lot out of it. Okay got to make breakfast. As always stay safe and warm and my love to all. (I will stay warm too.) lol

Good Monday in Okeechobee

Good Morning All: It is so good to be home again. I love to travel but it is always good to be back. When we first got here, Miss Oreo wasn't. I was worried but when I called Mona, she had gone over there. She knows that they will feed her. I am glad she eats that way as when her food is on the front porch I am never sure if she or the raccoons get her food. She was still mad at me when Mona walked her back over here. I sort of understand I would be mad too if I were her. When Mona left, Oreo went with her. My heart broke but what could I do. Later when I went out and threw away the Pizza box,there she was laying on my car. She looked at me and jumped off and ran away. After I went in the house, I opened the front door and in she ran. I guess she figured she had put me through enough torture. All is well now. She is laying on a plastic bag in the JUNQUE Room. She is goofy.

Back Home Again in Okeechobee

Good Evening to All: Well we are home from our christmas adventure. We listened to those GIANTS on Sirius. I cannot believe them. Oh well there is always next year. Now I am doing laundry and I am going to open the present Donna and Rick gave me. I actually opened it but I now need to take it out of the box as I was fearful getting it back in the way it came out. lol My cold is still hanging on and today for the first time I felt yucky. Maybe it is on it's way out. Okay more later Love to all will post pics later bro.

Homeward Bound

AJ was not able to be here as his plane trip was cancelled as Oklahoma was socked in with a blizzard. What horrible timing. Good Afternoon to all: We got to Mike and Beth's last night after a nice visit with the4 Marino's at the Mighty 8th Museum. Katie, Beth and Donnna are in the kitchen making tamales for dinner. Rick is busily fixing light fixtures and then he and Don are going to fix the upstairs toilet. I am not doing much. Drinking egg nog with rum (purely for medicinal purposes) lol Merry Christmas tyo all and swtqy safe and warm. Love you all.

Pooler Georgia

Good Morning to all: We are in Pooler Georgia with Tom, Edie, Chloe and Victor. It is so nice to see them. We are going to the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum this morning. It is chilly here but it is worth it to spend time with good friends. Will post more later with pictures. Love to all and stay safe and warm.

On the Road Again Part Deux

Good Afternoon to all who care: We are on our way to Pooler Georgia to meet the Marino's at the Mighty 8th. Got my nails done at 8 am and got home and packed the truck and the wheels are rolling. We missed breakfast but had a good Patty Melt at Pat's. No Okeeburger today. lol I need to tell a story to all as one of the more memorable stories from the cruise is burning to be told. First and foremos the platinum treatment was wondeful. We went to the Concierge Line and bippity boppity boo we were on the ship. After a rousing welcome at the gangway we proceded to our cabin. As usual our cabin was excellent. We checked the Steering Committee Board to see who was on board. Our friend Barbara (the Housekeeping Manager)was supposed to be there and we went to guest services to see her and found out that she had a family emergency and had just gotten off about an hour before we boarded. That was kind of a bummer as family emergencies are never good especially when you have to fly to Italy. Our thoughts and prayers were with her. We contacted her counter part Stephen Miranda and left the gift we had brought for Barbara with him. He was a very very nice man and it was a pleasure meeting him. He brought with him a new person and we met Christina also a very nice lady. I brought on board lots of extra gifts and we gave them each one also. They were amazed and Christina was in tears. I guess it is not everyday that people give them xmas gifts. I was glad that we did. Later that day we were walking around the ship and I met a young lady named Stephanie from Australia who worked in the Cruise Staff. We chatted about Jessica Watson and just general stuff. Later I decided that she should get a gift also. So we tracked her down to WaveBands where they were doing a 70's Disco thing. I hardly rcognized her as she had on a black wig and a sparkly red dress. So Cute!! We gave her the gift and she said we were making her fluffy. I guess that means teary in Australian. I apologized for making her ruin her makeup and she said that it was fine and that we could not imagine how much this little gift meant to her. We hugged as I was fluffy too. She then told us her mum had died and that this gift meant so much to her. We went away sad but glad that we made a difference to her. For me that was the highlight of the cruise. The next day we went to the spa for our exotic rasul with our friend Natalie and she knew Stephanie. It seems her mum had just died last christmas. Natalie was taken aback with her gift also. I Will Do Better I Promise

Good Afternoon All who care to read my writings and ramblings: I have a cold and have not really been up to snuff. Not really sick but just yucky. Also I have been getting ready for the trip to NC (I hope the weather cooperates) I have 365 blogs this year so I am covered for an average of one per day all year but I will do better I promise. Will blog about the magical moments of the cruise as we drive whenever we leave. Hope you all will forgive me and continue to be my faithful followers. Saturday Night

Sorry that I neglected my duties as a blogger but I got busy getting the stuff ready for our Xmas trip to NC. The Marino's had planned on leaving today but turned back after the snow got heavy. I guess they will try again tomorrow. We are supposed to meet them in Pooler at the Mighty 8th Air Force Museum. Will hope that this weather clears up for folks to travel. Okay got to watch New Orleans play Dallas. It is not looking good as Dallas is leading BOOOOOOOOOOO Tomorrow I will try to catch up about the cruise. Stay safe and warm and love to all

Good Morning Will be posting blogs about the cruise very sporadically as I have alot of stuff to finish up before our trip to NC. We got home yesterday and there was a box on the front porch. It was from Amber in Japan. It is a beautifully framed Coat of Arms for Sayman. It is beautiful and we hung it already. Need to take picture at night as there was some sun reflection but will post pic anyway and will do a good one later. Okay have to make breakfast as the nice people that served us all week could not come home with us.lol More late.

Cruise Day

Good Morning to All: I had a lovely blog all typed and it went into la la land. Here it goes again. We went to the Christmas Parade last night. It gets longer every year. It is a rule that half the residents of Okeechobee are in the parade and the other half are watching it. lol I think I am ready for this cruise but half the sneaking suspicion that I forgot something but the general rule is P & P. (Pills and Passports) Anything else can be bought. :) After the parade, we went to the King House for chinese as my refrigerator is bare. At least for 4 days I won't have to cook or clean. I will be a double platinum lady of leisure. Love to all and as usual stay safe and warm.

Good Afternoon: Sorry that I did not blog this am aftr breakfast as I got busy doing stuff for the cruise. Putting newspapers on hold, holding mail and putting Don's Mickey's hair. Need to call Mona to watch my girl. Tomorrow I will put the finishing touches on the packing. Not really too much new stuff except for prepping for the trip. Got to watch GH More tomorrow.

Thursday in the Hood

And a very good morning to all: We are sitting on the lanai and watching the weather channel and trying to remember how 13 degrees feels. Glad to be here and not there. We are experiencing record highs for us and the weather lady says we are the only place in the whole country that is having warm weather. We have a great governor he keeps the cold away!! lol All joking aside,please all who are in the baaaaaaad stuff, stay warm and safe. We are going to the doctor's today for our yearly physical. It will be 5 mins of doctoring and 20 mins of telling the doctor all about our cruises and travels. Okay need to get ready and cook breakfast. Will start the packing procedure today. Good Morning To the Faithful: It is cloudy here and drippy but it is WARM. Looking at the temps around the states that we watch we are the warmest. I don't think I could function at 18 degrees as I have a problem with 70. lol To all of you who are in these areas please stay safe and warm. We are going to the Movies today as Blindside is at our theatre. It is not a Disney movie and will not be on the ship next week so we are forced to see it on land. lol We will be seeing quite a few new movies next week. It's hell to go on a cruise to see new Disney Movies. As I always say "Who has it better than me?" Okay love to all,I must make breakfast and watch cash cab.

Good Morning To All especially DW and Brominator: It is a pretty here and I think it will be nice enough to go outside today and work on my bamboo project. :) We met up with Robbie and Elaine yesterday for lunch at Sonny's BBQ and went to good will. They leave on their cruise Friday and then they will watch Becky and Barry's Dogs for christmas and come over to OKee around Jan 6. Just in time for us to leave for the 1/2 Marathon. I hope there is one person there that I can beat. That is my plan. Last time I beat the guy with a knee brace. lmao Okay enough of this wonderful stuff for now. OOPS I Missed a Day

Good Morning to All: Have no excuse for not blogging yesterday so I will just apologisento all the faithful. Yeh The Giants came to life and beat the Cowboys. Any time they beat them is a good day. Still have a little cold but think I shall survive. We are meeting up with Robbie and Elaine at Sonny's BBQ in Clewiston. Will go to goodwill. They leave on their cruise Friday and we leave Sunday. Soggy Saturday

And a very good morning to you who read this stuff: It is still very very cloudy here and it rained most of the night but still I have sunshine in my heart. lol One more rainy day and I am going to call Governor Christ!!! :) At least it is not snowing. Got our Wii yesterday. It is really cool. I think I am going to get the dance fit but need to get used to this first. It is fun. Woke up yesterday with a little sore throat but am popping fishermen's friends and need to get over it before next Sunday as we have our cruise. Good Morning and Happy Holidays to all: It is very very cloudy here and I think it may rain but that is okay because we need it. Finally getting back to normal from my tiredness. Last night our neighbor came over and said he had a present for us (see picture below) Now Don has to clean it and I will cook it up in a pan. lol Brominator, what is a good address to send your candleholder? The Day After Disney

Good Morning All: Yesterday we (Romy, Claire, Don and I) went to Disney. We had a wonderful time. We had lunch at Rose & Crown Pub and did the Candlelight Processional. It was absolutely amazing. Thanks you Romy and Claire for lunch and sharing the experience with us. It always is nice to share good times with Good Friends. We did a few attractions, Soarin, Nemo, Spaceship Earth, and the boat ride in the Mexican Pavillion. Then because we did the Candlelight we had vip viewing area passes for Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. It was wonderful except just as the show started it rained. But we watched them anyway. They tacked some extra stuff on for the holidays. It was nice. And of course, after the show was over, the rain stopped. Oh well you can't do much about nature. All and alll their was more sunshine in the day and good times were had by all. We walked around the world at least twice. Today is rainy here and a good day to veg. More fun tomorrow!!! Good Afternoon friends and family who read my stuff: Had a busy morning as I got my nails done and got my hair cut. Tomorrow we are going to Disney with Romy and Claire. Monday Monday

Good Afternoon One and All: Brominator, I am not a slacker. lol Had a busy day today as I went and got gas in the cruiser, went to the Dry Cleaners and dropped Don's tuxedo shirts off, went to Home Depot to return the sanding pads for the orbital sander and get the right ones, we have decided to play Santa Claus when we go on the cruise, so I went to Beall's and bought 20 little gifts (both ladies and men's) and then because I am sick of TURKEY so I went grocery shopping for anything but turkey. Now I am home and having a glass of blackberry wine and watching cash cab. Will work some on the bamboo stuff. Love to all

Finally it is the real Sunday

Good Morning to anyone who cares to read my stuff: It is finally really Sunday. Holidays that come on Thursday or Friday always seem to be Sunday or in this case multiple Sundays. Kind of a quiet day. The Giants cannot lose another game today, must wait till next week lol Hope everyone has recuperated from Thanksgiving Dinner. It is getting a little warmer today. Good Afternoon all: This morning it was cool here(40's) actually cold but I don't want to be thought of as a complainer lol We went to Indiantown today to a thing called Cache Bash. Romy and Claire: You can be glad you had other plans as it was crazy. Will tell you more Wednesday. We did get a good walk though. Brominator, my bamboo candle holders are still a work in progress but I will put you on the list of the homes for my limited edition gems.
