Crusing to Key West

And a very good morning to all. We are out at sea and about 62 miles from Key West. We are taking a trolley or conch train tour this afternoon. I am on my balcony and have just had coffee. The kids are having a marvelous time. It is nice being the first time. Every thing is larger than life. Brent our favorite cruise director is on board. Life is gooder. More later I love you all.

The Day Has Finally Here

Good Morning All: I felt like the little kid in the Disney Commercial, I couldn't sleep. I was so excited. Went to bed at about 12 Midnight and woke up at 2:30 and then 4:30 and then 5 AM I felt that it was too early to get up so we talked til about 6:30 and then gave it up and got up. We are leaving about 9:30 as we have a few caches and a geo-cache store to go to before the embarkation. I will be blogging from the ship and will post picks. Love to all. R & D DAY IS HERE

Good Morning to All My Faithful Readers: Well the beginning of our adventure is here. Today we will go up to Orlando Airport and pick up Rick and Donna. We just checked the Southwest web site and their flight to Houston left on schedule. We are going to do a few errands on the way. They are expected at 1:45 p.m. I have arranged Oreo's kitty sitter. Mona, my neighbor who was her first mother. I will be blogging from the ship and will post pics as we go. Have to go make breakfast. E-L-E-M is still the bomb. I love you all. Stay tuned!!!!!

One Day Away

Good Morning Well the final day is here. A few little things left to do. Have to do Don's Hair after breakfast. Need to make a quick trip to Wally World for a few beauty items I need. I am declaring myself finished with my packing. Bro, I was really glad to talk to you lat night. Glad things are going well for you. Will look for coozies for your collection on our trip. Our Wonderful Day

Good Afternoon to all: I want to tell you all the saga of our morning. We decided it was time to get the truck washed for the upcoming cruise. Being as fitness conscious as we are, we decided to walk back home and get the exercise. We were a little more than half way home when we discovered that neither one of us had a house key. We decided to continue home, on the slim chance that we did not lock the door. Well as it would have it ,we did. We checked all the windows and they too were locked and our wonderful cat has not got the ability to open the door for us. Don got a hammer and chisel and managed to get the door open. Just a little repair necessary and probably a trip to Home Depot. LOL Like Julia used to say "Nothing like being Dumb and Showing it" We are now hiding a key on the patio. Guaranteed we will never need it but if we do, it will be there. Oreo just decided to check out my blogging but Don moved and she headed for the kitchen to get a treat. What a snack hound!!!! I am basically done with the packing. Just a few more little putsy things to do. Have to put Don's mickeys in his hair tomorrow. Well got to get busy LOVE TO ALL

Moving Right Along with the Program

Four days til the cruise and I am really on-track with my packing. LIFE IS GOOD. I know I will probably take more than I need but who cares. A girl has to have something for every occasion. lol Cleaned the patioo yesterday and did a treadmill workout but my mini ate the workout results. Oh well she was probably hungry. Going out today to do a few errands and pick up some veggies for the rest of the week. Boy was the Coca Cola 600 was a real bust yesterday and I am sooooooo glad we were not there. I think we are going to Watkins Glen for the IRL race over the 4th of July. We are going to do our summer visit then and hopefully we will have some nice weather. Enough for now. LOVE TO ALL

Memorial Day 2009

Good Morning: Hope everyone has a wonderful Memorial Day and please take a moment out of your day to give thanks to all the brave men and women who fight and have fought for us to be able to enjoy the rights and freedom we have. We are going to watch the Coca Cola 600. Boy was it fortuitous for us not to go this year. It would have been really bad to be at the track and still not have seen a race. So many people use today to go home but not this year. Well will be getting busy with the packing. Did put a few of the staples in the suitcases so I have actually started. lol I have to admit something I was actually too tired last night to treadmill so I broke my string of days in a row. Now I have to start over. Oh well life goes on. Have to make breakfast now. Love to all

Happy Birthday Allen

Good Afternoon to all of the faithful pals of mine. First things first. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ALLEN. HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT DAY. Sorry that it took so long for me to blog. I am still in the throes of cleaning behind the shed. Wanted to finish it but there is still a little to do. Hopefully I will work on it later this week. My timing for stopping was impeccable as the thunder started to boom. Thank God as my energy was waning. Going to watch some of the Indianapolis 500, hopefully through my eyelids. 5 more days til the cruise. YEH Okay the couch is calling. Love to all. Have a wonderful holiday weekend.

Cache Event

The cache event we went to in Fellsmere was really nice. We met a lot of nice people. We did a couple of caches over there also. Only problem was it was wet from the rain and I only wore my birks. Next time I'll carry my boots in the truck. Well one more week and we'll be on the cruise. Got to get busy with packing this week. Enough for now. Love to All!!!

One Week From Today

Good Morning to All: Well in one week Donna and Rick arrive in Orlando and the adventure begins. Don is going to work on fixing the old suitcase with some bolts and aluminum today and I will get busy filling it. Today I will press some outfits and organize what I want to take. I know I will bring too much but who cares. Don's stuff is easy. Tuxedos and tux shirts and many many shirts!!!!! Going to a Geo-Cache event tomorrow, a brunch in Fellsmere. Hopefully pick up a few caches also. Don put a new faucet for water from the well on the lanai. He is such a handy person. He had to beat a hole in the laundry room to feed the hose connection to the outside world. Just another day in Sunny Florida. (Do Not Miss Reading Mr S's Blog as he is just tooooooo funny) LOVE TO ALL!!!

Not Sure What Happened

I don't know what happened but I think my computer is haunted. I don't have much to say today but thought I would say it anyway. I cancelled my luggage order and now it is back to Square 1. Am thinking of having Don repair the old one for now and then buying a new set later in time. In my investigation of other places to buy the said luggage, I have found it cheaper and a few different styles. It is back to my theory of life that things are GOD WINKS. They happen for a reason. I usually make out!!!! LOL It is cloudy here. Maybe some more rain today. We got a nice amount but other places like Daytona got flooded. Might work a little on my yard project even though it is wet out there. Okay for not having much to say I sure am typing alot. LMAO Time for eggs. Love to All.

Luggage Saga

Good Morning: We ordered a new set of luggage for the cruise as our big suitcase is broken. I thought I ordered in plenty of time as I ordered May 2. It is shipped from the manufacturer and it still is not here May 20. Penneys tells me that it appears that the company was going to ship it yesterday. We will see!! If not here by Friday, I am cancelling the order and going to Vero and find a new set or maybe duct tape the old one. NOT!!!! We had a really nice day yesterday. We even had lunch out and maintained ELEM. We did a few caches AND BOY IS THIS A PRETTY WORLD. Saw a few places in LaBelle that I didn't know existed. Found a few new items for the cruise. Will probably need 2 sets of luggage. LMAO Have a few errands to run today. Time for breakfast LOVE TO ALL.

Good Morning: It is cloudy here today but that it okay. Now that I live in FLA and sunny days are abundant, a cloudy day is a novelty. More than 2 or 3 and I call the gov and ask him what's up. We are going out on an adventure today. We are going to Labelle and Clewiston. We are caching and good-willing. Looking for some stuff for cruise. (Some new shorts for MR. as he has dropped 2 inches off his waist with our ELEM plan) We both feel sooooooo much better. 10 days til the cruise yeh. LOVE TO ALL

Hi Again Just talked to Rick on phone and gave him the lecture that was given to me this morning. DO NOT DO ANY THING DANGEROUS THAT MIGHT CAUSE YOU BODILY HARM AND MESS UP THE CRUISE. That means biking, climbing on the roof or any activity that could hurt you. LOL No Broken Bones Allowed. Just got off treadmill and changed my mini's clothes. Love To All Again

Marvelous Monday

Finally sitting down to write this blog. Got up this am and made a new breakfast treat. Made a mushroom omelette with egg beaters. Really good. After breakfast, we went to the gym and did the machines for about a half hour. Then we had a couple of errands to run. When we got home, I went back to my bamboo project and did some cleanup work. Broke up some old lattice work that the hurricanes from a few years ago tore down and got it ready for the trash man tomorrow. Don is blowing the leaves from off the screen room behind the solar heater panels. After that we were both hungry and I made some chicken salad with Pineapple. I made wraps. It is amazing how much better food tastes now that we are not eating copious amounts of food. ELEM is a great way to go. I now think only in how many calories something is and how can I get the best meal for the least calories. Portion control is also an important tool. Teri and Allen, I received your card and the lovely book you made me. Thanks and don't worry about it being late. Something that nice is worth waiting for. I love you guys. Going Goodwilling tomorrow. Looking for more new stuff for the cruise. 11 more days. YEH. Also catching a couple more caches in LaBelle and Clewiston. Okay going to watch soaps now. I Love You All

Sunny Sunday

Good Afternoon to all my loyal readers: This morning after breakfast, I decided to work a little more on my bamboo grove project. At about 11 am, I went out with mucho energy level. I was gung-ho. I got quite a bit accomplished, though there is still much to do. As I was working in the shade of a mid-80's day, I pondered to myself "why didn't I get the bright idea to do this manual labor when our weather is what I call a cold spell"? It really isn't too bad though. I worked 2 and 1/2 hours before I lost my energy level. Don is watching a documentary on life after people. I went in and he said that after people,plants take over. I have been working in just such conditions. It has been at least 5 years since I have done anything with this area and boy o boy did the vines and plants take over. lol I keep thinking in two weeks from today, I will be in KEY WEST and even though I am watching my calories I might have a pint at the irish pub. Well am going in as I am sitting on the lanai as I type this and have a bit of lunch. Sorry to see that the temps in the north are so changeable. Well as always LOVE TO ALL

Super Saturday

Hi to All: Got my treadmill fix and am going to work in the yard on my project. If it is too hot, then I will jump in the pool and cool off and then go back to work. Not much is happening here but that is okay. Looks like all my fellow bloggers are really really busy and have no time to blog. I guess I need a life. lmao Cruise is in two weeks and it looks like we might be going to Mexico as the CDC lifted the travel restrictions. YEH Have not been to Tulum since 1989. Okay enough for now I have vines to pull and bamboo to cut up. OH BOY love to all

Friday Stuff

Good Evening to my fans: Had a great day today. Did multiple errands. Dropped my watch and bracelet off at the jewelers to get a new battery for the watch and a dab of gold on the bracelet as I wore it outside when I was working in the yard. I know better!!! Did a couple of caches and came home and made lunch. After lunch, I went to the po to mail a dvd to Teri and then went grocery store and did my favorite job. Boy is it expensive to eat healthy!!! Oh well it has to be done. Came home before the rain and put the groceries away. I bought a new cook book "200 meals under 200 Calories" and tried a couple of recipes from it. One was green beans like TGIF only more healthy and a recipe for chicken wings made out of skinless chicken breast and they were delish. We are watching the truck race from Charlotte. It is the first time in about 12 yeats we are watching the races from home instead of being there. And we really don't miss it. I loved being there up until all the people came. I really am not a big fan of big crowds. Plus the weather is crappy there. I do miss the friends that we made there. Well enough for today. I am going to putz in my junk room.

My Day

I got a lot of things accomplished today. I guess it does work out better when you don't plan and just let stuff happen. I am in organization mode again. I even had energy to treadmill 1.52 miles. E-L-E-M is just the best!!!!! Watching Grey's Anatomy now. Love to all.

The Best Laid Plans

I didn't do what I said I was going to again today. Somedays it just goes that way. Had to get my tradmilling in and did some reorganization of the Geo-Cache Bag. Doing the tradmill used to be so easy. Put on my sneakers and go. Now it is get my sneakers, wake up my sensor, put on my sneakers, attach the nike+ to my nano, grab a water, put on my head set and turn on the treadmill. Whew!!!! Then I press the center button and GO. All to feed my treadmill addiction. LOL Need to go and do anything that might lead to getting things done. Enough for now. Today's Frivolity

Good Morning to the faithful who read my rambling: It's "Hump Day" and a beautiful day again. I wish it would rain all day but sometimes we don't get what we wish for. Today the energizer bunny in me is going to do some errands and then maybe some house cleaning. I know it is a rough life but someone has to do it. Just another beautiful day

I'm sure everyone who follows me is tired of my ramblings about how beautiful it is in sunny FLA. I can't help it though. We are having coffee on the patio this am and planning the day. I am going to get hair cut today and then check out a couple of consignment shops in Chobee. The E-L-E-M program is still wonderful and I believe it is now a habit and I am glad. I keep feeding my treadmill addiction and could not feel better. 17 days til the cruise and the red dress update is okeedokeeeeeeeeeee. LOVE TO ALL

Marvelous Monday

Good Morning to all: The day again is bright and hot. We are sitting at the dining room table and planning our eating on the cruise. I know, it seems silly but necessary. I am making it a game. It's called "Bargaining for Calories". Trying to see how to get the most value for the least calories. I know what you are thinking. What happened to the old Gail? Have aliens abducted her? I don't know!!!!!!! I have a new title. I'm the Calorie Detective. LOL Well time to make breakfast. Love to all Pic is my bible.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to All that the label applies to. It is another absolutely beautiful day here in beautiful Okeechobee. We are going to pick up some more caches and maybe go to the Flea Market as there is no race on tv and by the time we get back, it will be too warm for my yard project which I have taken a couple of days off from because all my barrels are full and they will pick up yard trimmings Monday. There is a shuttle launch on Monday at 2:01 P.M. I have to tell you a very very funny story. They just advertised a new product on the market. I am not making this up. They are selling an Obama Chia Pet. OMG. Will Madison Avenue ever fail to surprise me? How many should I order as christmas gifts? Well enough frivolity, I have to clean up kitchen and get ready for the day. Again HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY TO ALL.

Good Afternoon. Had a few errands to run this am and now we are home for a quiet afternoon. Had to go down by the dyke so we walked about 1 mile+ even though it was 87 degrees out. Preparing for Mexico. lol Love You All

Boy this week went fast. Gosh it is Friday already. FYI I found a really nice web site called http://www.hungry-girl.com/. It takes you to some sites that give you the calories in some of the restaunt foods we have all eaten and OMG I can't believe the amount of calories in them. No wonder the country has an obesity problem Going to the gym today and taking time off from yard project or at least that's my story and I am sticking to it. lol Love to all

Project of the Week Day 2

Due to our new eating plan, we are waking up earlier than usual. This being the case, I was able to get out and work on the project of the week by 9 a.m. It is coming along nicely. Don came out with the alligator loper and cut up old bamboo and helped me drag piles of vines out to the street. It is pretty warm out and I worked til about noon and came in for lunch. Will probably go out and work later tonight. more later love ya all

Best Laid Plans

Buenas Tardes Trying to add a little spanish lingo here!!! I woke up this morning with plans to eat breakfast and go to the gym. Well the best laid plans of mine often go astray. Don was working on the pool pump motor that stopped working and I finished my inside work and went out to see how he was doing. Since we have lived in this house, the back of the shed area has been a bone of contention with me and today I decided to do some work around that area for a while until he finished the pump project. Well one thing led to another and I worked about an hour on my project until the sun got too hot. Well this is the project de jour for the rest of the week. I am posting pics as the project progresses and now that I have said this, I feel obligated to finish. You are my alter-ego, the same way my little purple mini girl is my alter-ego. ELEM UPDATE: It is working and I still am losing and I have more energy than ever. YEH! I make it a game to see what I can eat that is the least calorie wise. It is fun!!! Got to finish lunch now Love to all. Blue is watching me dilligently as seen in pic. He is such a baby. He whines for attention. Hard to believe that these poor dogs have such a bad rap.

Cinco De Mayo

Ola Amigos y Amigas. Buenos Dias. Feliz Cinco de Mayo ! We went out Geo-caching again this morning. We finally found Platts Bluff. It was by the Kississimee River and it was like it was before they straightened it. Really a nice place but used by morons who graffitti the trees and leave beer bottles around. It is a shame they don't appreciate the beauty of nature. Hopefully they will sometime or not. There are alot of morons in the world.

The pic of dog is my neighbor's pitbull who I have named Blue and Jacob calls Stud. I like Blue better. He is such a sweetie. This is him when he was weeks old. I would be hard pressed to hold him like that now.

Monday in Chobee

Hi to All: Today is another beautiful day in paradise. After breakfast, we went to the gym. After the gym, we went out to catch a couple of caches. Now we are home to watch soaps and maybe hop in the pool for a few laps. Still cannot believe the amount of energy I have with this ELEM plan. 25 days til the cruise!!! Almost forgot: Our plumerias are blooming. yeh!!!!
