What's Happening

Getting things reorganized and back in place for being home. Need to go grocery shopping and get water for cooler. I know it all sounds pretty boring but after being away it is heavenly to me. Donna, we ordered your present but it is backordered and will be arriving after 11/6/2008. Mailed a card to you today but will send you a real card later. lol Oreo is out hunting, she is getting back to as normal as she can be!!! Got to go to Army/Navy store and measure the ammo boxes for you bro and see about the camo sweatshirt. More later!!

Home Sweet Home

As I am typing this blog, I have a black and white kitty who can't get close enough to me. She slept between Don & I after she came back in about 3AM. She was on the roof checking things out until then. Well the truck is a truck again and the camper is stowed away for a few months. Getting caught up with laundry. Oh it is nice to be back home.

We are on the final leg of our journey. We stayed at the "Oaks" campground last night. They had stinky internet but had a great shower. I guess it's a fair trade off.
It is a partly sunny day so far. I have been in the north to long because I have a mean sinus headache. I need my humidity and sunshine. More later

Heading South

Good Morning to All who follow my travels:
It is a bright and sun shiny day and the temp is 70 degrees. We are heading away from Charlotte and heading for Okeechobee and my poor kitty. She will be as happy to see us as we are her.
The race was good last night. At least an RCR car won. Clint needed more laps for the 4 tires he put on to come to him. Glad I am not a crew chief and have to have fans like me second guessing what we do. Oh well! We are not coming to Charlotte next year, taking some time off from races.
The biggest part of coming to the races is the people we have made friends with over the years. We hope to see them on a cruise next year.
Don is feeling better, the antibiotic is good.
Took our travel bug Florida Fran, the flamingo to the race. She had a great time.
Will find a new home for her back in Sunny Fla.
We got our McCain/Palin bumper stickers. Cindy was at the race with Libby Dole. Sarah was inPennsylvania. GO SARAH!!!!!

Sunny Saturday

It is finally sunny outside. Can life get any better!!! I am a little tired today as the race didn't get over with til midnight. Just made the perfect camper breakfast. Pancakes and sausages. Going to take a walk up to the trailers today and at 4:30

Finally Friday

It's finally Friday. Weather is still cloudy but at least it is not raining. "YET"
Qualifying was rained out last night. Hopefully, the Nationwide will go on as planned. 30% chance of showers. We have a luncheon with the new GM of Lowe's
Motor Speedway today to talk about changes in the campground with the new ZMAX drag strip. More later!
